What’s Up, USANA? Wins Communicator Award

Time to toot the ol’ horn just a bit.
We learned that our humble little blog earned a Silver Award of Distinction in the 15th Annual Communicator Awards. This is pretty exciting for us, considering What’s Up, USANA? is less than six months old and we were going up against some tough national competition (more than 7,000 entries overall from companies and agencies of all sizes).
When we first conceived the idea for What’s Up, USANA?, we envisioned it as a place for USANA Associates and the general public alike to learn a little more about what we do here at 3838 West Parkway Blvd. (and to let others in on some of the cool stuff happening in the field).
So far, the response has been extraordinary! In fact, we welcomed our 20,000th visitor yesterday. We’ll continue to search out events, accolades, and additional bits of information that demonstrate the greatness of USANA. As always, you’re welcome to send us tips or ideas.
There’s a lot of great content up ahead.
- Next week we’ll begin the Rev3 Energy Challenge, which features six employees giving up their “energy drink” of choice in favor of Rev3.
- The final installment in the RESET Challenge is set for June.
- David Osmond is guest-blogging for us.
- Our trainers will continue providing valuable health and wellness tips.
- And much, much more!
Plus, look for a lot of activity over the next few days from the Melanie Segal Gift Lounge at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. We’ll be leaving for Los Angeles this afternoon to distribute Rev3 to the stars! It should be a lot of fun. Look for information here and @drinkrev3 on Twitter.
Thanks to everyone who reads What’s Up, USANA! We definitely have a good time writing it and appreciate everyone who shares their stories with us.

Congratulations WhatsUpUSANA Blog!!!
I overheard a USANA Employee discussing a new program to boost their Active Associate figures for the current quarter by sending out eight unique special promotional deals to 32,000 INactive associates (each different promotion goes to 4000 people). Deals such as 50% off purchases over $50. This should get about 32,000 Inactive associates to be counted as “Active”, which will give the appearance of NEW members joining the business.
What are your thoughts about this promotional deal? Why are only 32,000 individuals privy to such a deal? Why shouldn’t we all get 50% off of any purchase over $50? Why hasn’t USANA official made this announcement if employees are talking about it?
