USANA 2009 Convention: Incredible Speakers Power USANA Session (Friday)

Les Brown, Tim Lewis, Lynn Allen-Johnson, Athletes Energize Crowd

Energetic Associates spilled out of this mornings session after being rocked by powerhouse speeches from top Associates Lynn Allen-Johnson and Tim Lewis, as well as keynote speaker Les Brown.

The knob was cranked to 11 from the moment the lights went up on another high-energy performance from The Beat Freaks. All the popping, locking, breaking, and spinning had the thousands of USANA Associates from around the world packed into the ESA all revved up.

After an awesome segment featuring some of USANA’s world-class athletes — including Jennifer Azzi, gold medalist Derek Parra, silver medalist Jason Parker, and Silver Director Werner Berger — USANA President Dr. Fred Cooper, donning a top hat and cap, talked about some of the smoke and mirrors other companies use when talking about USANA’s compensation plan.

“USANA has the finest compensation plan on the planet,” he said. “And I don’t think there are five people on the planet who know compensation plans as well as I do.”

Using the whine of a teen girl, Cooper gave everyone the answer they should give when confronted with someone claiming USANA’s compensation plan isn’t the best: “That’s not true.”

“Fact: USANA Health Science has the highest payout percentage of profitable reporting companies,” he continued.

Cooper then introduced 5-Star Diamond Director Lynn Allen-Johnson, who captured the audience with a heartfelt, emotionally charged talk about her start in USANA and how these tough times have inspired her to action.

“I know what it feels like to not have,” she said, tearfully. “I want to be part of the solution … We all need to do our part to extend a hand to those people who don’t know what we know.”

If Lynn Allen-Johnson was emotionally stirring, 4-Star Diamond Director Tim Lewis was nothing short of electric. Lewis took the stage and immediately whipped the audience into a frenzy. Bouncing back and forth across the stage, a vivacious Lewis talked about a $14 investment he made in Robert Allen’s book, Multiple Streams of Income, that is still paying dividends — in the form of large USANA commission checks — today.

“Now that’s a return on and investment,” he said.

Tim Lewis’ action on stage was indicative of how excited he is about the future of USANA.

“I’m a little crazy for USANA right now,” he said. “I don’t mind sayin’ it, either. I’m crazy. And I don’t want to be normal. When I was normal, I was broke.”

Les Brown matched Lewis’ enthusiastic cadence during his keynote speech.

“What we do in life is only the tip of the iceberg,” he said.

Brown focused on finding success by setting your mind to it. A simple concept, maybe. But a powerful, inspirational message.

“Most people fail in life, not because they aim too high and miss, they aim too low and hit,” he said.
