Kathy Kaehler RESET Week Tip #3: Everyday Activities Add Up

January 13, 2010 at 6:41 AM , , , ,

We’re about halfway through RESET Week! How do you feel? I’m excited to hear so many of you have joined me. I’m set to join Dan and the gang in Los Angeles Thursday and Friday for the Kari Feinstein Golden Globes Style Lounge. It’s going to be a blast!

But for now, here’s my latest tip:

Doing short bouts of a variety of activities will always add up at the end of the day. Do not discount the benefits of taking the stairs, carrying grocery bags, walking around the block, doing 10 pushups, walking a dog, or completing any other mini workout that you can put into your day.

Add some variety to your Nutrimeal shakes, too. Add your allotted serving of fruit or flavorings and ice to “shake up” your Nutrimeal shakes. Here are a few easy recipes:

  • Chocolate Banana: Dutch Chocolate Nutrimeal made with water. Add 1 fresh banana.
  • Chocolate Coconut or Chocolate Mint: Dutch Chocolate Nutrimeal made with water. Add coconut or mint extract to taste.
  • Razzmatazz: Wild Strawberry Nutrimeal made with water. Add 1/2–1 cup frozen raspberries.
  • Berrylicious: French Vanilla Nutrimeal made with water. Add 1/2–1 cup mixed berries. Ice.

Keep up the great work, everyone!

Here are all of the RESET Week tips.

Being in the UK, I have just started my 4th day. It is going really great – yesterday was a little tough, as I was quite tired and therefore hungry – our bodies are not used to all that snow and cold and the instinct is to go for warming food, but it feels amazing when you get through those days and stick to it.
I have the benefit of living at the bottom of a hill with my children's school a 5 – 10 minutes walk up the hill. I have done it twice today already and will be doing at the end of the day, so that makes for quite a nice little addition to my work-out!
