USANA Green is a group of employees who are dedicated to helping USANA go green. Since 2006, we have implemented and tracked programs to reduce solid waste, conserve water and energy, and recycle. Under the direction of Dr. Tim Wood, the Green Team has helped USANA pollute less, save more, and build a planet that is as healthy as the USANA family.

Be sure to look for more energy-saving tips from the USANA Green Team on this blog over the coming months. Here are previous installments.

What am I doing? I'm driving a smart Fortwo, which gets about 35 MPG on my daily city commute, compared to 11 MPG with our Explorer SUV – which now gets used about once a week. It's like driving a little dune buggy – fun, and it's built like a tank.

It reduces not only emissions but our dependence on foreign oil, by the little bit I can personally contribute. Keep it up, USANA. Every bit of individual help counts.

    Hey Tim,
This is just one more reason I am so proud to be associated with USANA. What am I doing for our planet? I take my recyclables to the special center each week and we are very frugal with our electric, natural gas, and water utilities.

@Mark: Excellent! That's great to hear. We're down to one car most days ourselves).

@Tom: Nice going! I personally need to recycle more.

A difference I'm making is carpooling to work each day and recycling paper products, but I'm planning to do more in 2011.

    Have a great day!
