USANA Fun Friday Video 18: For Your Consideration
Here in the PR/Social Media department, we’re pretty ravenous about movies. When we’re not blogging, tweeting or updating our Facebook profiles, we’re watching movies. Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Groundhog Day — you name it, we’ve seen it.
So you can imagine our exasperated, Beatles-esque mania when our two worlds collided late last year in David Fincher’s epic (but honestly, not quite Citizen Kane epic), The Social Network.
Ever since the film was released, Tim’s been waiting nervously by his phone for “The Call.” With all the critical and commercial success of The Social Network, we figure it’s only a matter of time before Tim’s story — that of an eccentric, soft-fisted genius, quietly plugging away at his own network marketing/social media empire — is similarly adapted and picked up for the viewing pleasure of audiences worldwide.
Tim may not agree with this, but I think Leonardo DiCaprio should play him in the movie. DiCaprio or Bill Murray.
So, being the movie lovers that we are, this weekend is a pretty exciting one: It’s the Oscars, baby! Tim and Mallory are even flying out to California to share the USANA products with all the glitzy film industry peoples. (That and Tim’s going to try and get his script in the hands of the Coen brothers.)
Oh, and don’t tell Lisa, but the rest of us in PR/Social Media are considering turning the office into a makeshift film studio.
And we’ve already produced our first film! In homage to all of the Best Picture nominees for 2010, we’ve created a quick crib-sheet style montage/overview/”interpretation” of each of these impressive films — Fun Friday Video Style. Let us know if you think we have a future in film:

@Wendy: Yes, we love our job and might, just might, have some free time every now and then
@Laurie: Good catch! Yes, just adds to the silliness (and sort of represents the "Black Swan).
@Rex & Sally: Not to worry, there wasn't much to get. Just our (mostly Nick's) interpretation of some of the Best Picture nominees after watching nothing more than the movie's trailers.
