Paul Rohatensky's Cool Banana Chai Shake featuring USANA's Vanilla Nutrimeal!

Last month we asked you to send in your favorite Vanilla Nutrimeal recipes, and you guys sure came through! We had a lot to choose from and were dazzled by everyone’s creativity. There were cheesecakes, pancakes, muffins, cookies, even puddings! After careful deliberation, we chose five interesting recipes to test and our judges were very impressed with the results.

While all the recipes we tested were great, there was one that stood out above the rest, not only for its creative use of ingredients, but for how easy it was to make and how absolutely delicious it was!

Congratulations to first prize winner… Paul Rohatensky for his “Cool Banana Chai Shake!”  Paul will be receiving a USANA exercise ball, a “Commit to be Fit” Blender Bottle PLUS $50 cash on account*

COOL BANANA CHAI SHAKE
12oz water,
3 scoops Vanilla Nutrimeal™
1 banana
1 Tbs cinnamon
1 Rev3 Energy Surge™ Pack
1 Tbs OptOmega®, flaxseed oil or other substitute

Blend for 30 seconds & voilà!

This recipe got near-perfect marks from all the judges. Simply omit the banana and replace with Fibergy Plus (to taste) for a super simple BlenderBottle® version.

Coming in at second place was Pamela Bryson’s “Delicious N Nutritious Protein Pancakes” recipe — our social media specialist, Nick Potter, ate a whole stack for lunch!

Our very close third-place winner was Shea True and her yummy “Vanilla Fiber Muffins” which was customer services coordinator, Nate Schooley’s, personal favorite!

Both Pamela and Shea will be receiving a USANA exercise ball, a “Commit to be Fit” Blender Bottle plus $25 cash on account*

In fourth place was Eve Smith’s “Apple Pie A La Mode” shake, which marketing manager, Melissa Fields, described as having a “lovely mixture of spices.”

And last but not least, a big thanks to Eva Clarke for submitting her “USANA Inspired Strawberry Cheesecake,” which everyone thought was beautiful and loved the oatmeal raisin USANA bar crust.

Eve and Eva will be the happy recipients of $25 cash on their accounts!*  Congratulations!

We can’t thank you enough for all your entries to the USANA Vanilla Nutrimeal Recipe Contest! We loved all your creative ideas — keep it up!

Brinner– it’s the breakfast-dinner of champions!

  3. Thank you, USANA, for the chance to share our recipes! It’s great to see the many healthy creations others have come up with, so it’s an honour to win 1st place! I’m glad you liked my favourite shake, too! Tomorrow, we’re making the protein pancakes! :)

  4. Diana Yin Diana Yin says:

Yum! Pamela says she eats the pancakes cold with peanut butter before a work-out. It’s definitely packed with protein!

  5. What we do for pancake syrup in our house is we mix OptOmega with maple syrup & pour it on!! It’s a tasty way to get your Omega 3s!

If we run out of OptOmega, we’ll use flax oil, but that blend of organic flax, pumpkin, sunflower & olive oil is the best tasting one we know of. Perhaps USANA will whip up a batch for us at the Convention?!

  6. Robin Thomas says:

Each one looks even more tasty that the other.. I can’t decide what to try first :~)
