It’s a Pumpkin Carving Contest, USANA
It’s getting a little spooky at What’s Up, USANA? these days.
Halloween is just around the corner and several individuals and departments are busily brainstorming the creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky costumes that will win judges’ favor at our annual Home Office Halloween Extravaganza!
Who knows? Maybe Dan Macuga will dress up like a chicken again.
In conjunction with the costume contest, the USANA Halloween Extravaganza also includes a pumpkin carving contest that allows employees to get even more creative.
We Want You to Get Carving!
This year, Dan himself thought it might be fun to let our valued social media fans — that’s you — show off your pumpkin carving skills with a chance to win some sweet (not scary) prizes.
All you have to do is carve a pumpkin, snap a photo, and send it to us (the photo, not the pumpkin). Simple.
Send your photos to whatsupusana@usana.com or post them on our Facebook page. Please include your name and where you live. Entries will be accepted between now and 5 p.m. ET on October 28, 2011, so get carving!
Note: You’re on the honor system that these pumpkins were actually carved during this carving season, so don’t let us down by sending in a photo from Halloween ’07, please.
The Prizes!
We’ll post the best carved creations and announce the winners — as determined by our world-class team of pumpkin carving experts* — on What’s Up, USANA? on October 31. Here’s what you could win:
First Place
- USANA OGIO messenger bag
- USANA blanket
- USANA water bottle
Second Place
- USANA blanket
- USANA water bottle
Third Place
- USANA water bottle
Of course, no blog post about pumpkin carving would be complete without this incredible creation Tom & Lorie Mulhern sent our way a couple years ago. Very cool.
And here’s one from USANA PR Manager Diana. Inception Pumpkin. Ooohhhh….

This could be a dangerous job….lol
the last time I carved a pumpkin it involved stitches and a lot of blood
I do not think they let me play with knives anymore
My pumpkin gets baked and turned into pie with real whip creme and the carving part is cutting it up to serve it
Looking forward to seeing the entries
