Building a USANA Body with Brad: At the Midway Point

USANA's Brad Pace at the midpoint of his health journey

“Work is an antidote for anxiety, and ointment for sorrow, and a doorway to possibility.”

— Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Greetings USANA family! It’s time to celebrate midpoint successes and then throw some gas on this transformation effort in order to really achieve something special by Convention.

I will also spill the beans on something I’ve been keeping under wraps during this transformation effort, my “secret weapon” of sorts!

Midpoint Results

My midpoint results are as follows:

  • I started at 176 pounds and am now at 170 pounds.
  • I also started at 16.5% body fat and am now at 10% body fat.

My strength has increased across the board in all lifts and I feel amazing! I have essentially become a “fit guy” again! It feels really great to increase self-confidence and my ability to perform more work/service to those around me…directly as a result of my workout effort.

The ‘Secret Weapon’

Over the past 10 years I’ve trained hundreds and hundreds of people. I’ve worked with dozens of fitness experts of all levels and I’m convinced I’ve stumbled upon greatness not-yet-seen in the fitness industry.

It is easy to find a fitness guru who has a specific quality they excel at. This could be technical knowledge, attitude/motivational ability, or the personal experience of being fat turned fitness fanatic.

Rarely does a fitness leader possess all of these qualities, and when they do it’s not unlike a professional sports team finding a “franchise player,” one who can carry their team to multiple championship opportunities for a decade or more.

I have found a workout partner who not only possesses each of these traits but surprises me with new qualities each day that would make him a ridiculously successful and highly sought after personal trainer. I sometimes have to remind myself that he drives a forklift for a living since he carries and represents himself better than any fitness executive I have ever met.

This guy is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. It’s not really a question of if but when! Lucky for me I have been utilizing his skills/abilities for my own motivational purposes while he is yet undiscovered.

Everyone needs to have a network of friends and family who love and support them in their goals and I feel (like many others around the corporate office) that this guy is my long lost brother who cares about me and my success.

We have both been doing the same routine and the same nutrition regimen during this endeavor. I must admit his results have been more dramatic. More to come in future posts…
