Who is Michael Chadwick?

An all-American boy, Michael B. Chadwick was born in Buffalo, New York, and raised in Howard Beach and Rochester. Michael started discovering his artistic abilities — including piano, dance, acting, and modeling — at the age of 7. But Michael never thought his talents would have landed him where he is today…on reality TV.

Michael has been picked to be one of 20 eligible bachelors on CMT’s new reality show Sweet Home Alabama, which premieres Thursday, July 14 (read his bio, follow him on Twitter).

The show is about a beautiful southern girl from Alabama who seeks love from one of 20 bachelors — 10 so-called “city slickers” and 10 “country” guys.

I had the privilege of interviewing Michael during his busy schedule of filming, photo shoots, working as a real estate agent, and running his USANA business. Michael tells me his time working on a reality show has been awesome, fun, scary, and nothing like anything he’s ever done before.

And, he admits that he had no idea what he was getting himself into!

Auditioning for the Show

Michael auditioned for the show because he saw an opportunity to get his name and what he does in front of millions of people. A rational reason, with reality TV ratings on the rise.

But this wasn’t the only reason he was drawn to the audition. Michael has been single for a while, no doubt due to his crazy busy schedule, and he was genuinely interested in meeting someone special. And who knows, he thought, maybe the show could be some crazy story he could one day tell his kids about how he met their mother?

So he began wondering whether Sweet Home Alabama would be his chance to meet the woman of his dreams.

In the Life of Michael Chadwick

Michael likes to spend his free time getting together with friends and hanging out. Another pastime he enjoys is running — in Central Park, by the pier in Long Island City, and across the Queensboro Bridge.

Did I mention Michael is also a bartender? To say he’s a Jack of all trades would be a major understatement. Needless to say, working as a bartender in New York City, he meets a good number of A-list actors. So I asked Michael about his most exciting clients, including Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Barbara Streisand, Hugh Jackman, Bette Midler, Henry Winkler, Jennifer Aniston, Michael Bay, and more.

“Celebrities are always the kindest and most gracious people,” Michael said. One celebrity — Sarah Jessica Parker — got him a little starstruck. When she came back for seconds at the bar, she told her entourage, “Oh, there’s my friend,” and smiled at Michael. He admits, “I’ve got a thing for blondes.”

The Road to Happiness

Being called a Tom Cruise look-a-like is always an ego booster, but Michael hasn’t always been happy with his appearance. He admits that it wasn’t easy getting into model form, but he says USANA’s RESET gave him the jumpstart he needed to start his new life.

“It was instrumental in helping me get into modeling. I’ve struggled with weight my whole life,” Michael said.

After losing eight pounds in five days, he continued to use USANA products as part of his new, healthier lifestyle, and lost almost 30 pounds in eight weeks.*

He swears USANA’s products helped him stay in shape and handle his crazy life in NYC. His favorite product is the customized MyHealthPak because it’s made for him and broken into AM/PM packs so it’s easy for him to take his supplements anywhere his crazy schedule takes him.

Looking Into the Future

When I asked Michael where he sees himself in five years, he had a specific future he’s looking forward to. “I hope to be one of the new rising stars in Hollywood, have a platinum-selling album, be a celebrity real estate agent, own beachfront property in Tel Aviv, be a top income earner in USANA, married, and have a few kids…you know, nothing too outrageous!”

After getting to know Michael more, I can honestly say I can’t wait to see him on CMT’s Sweet Home Alabama, on his quest for love. The show premieres tomorrow, Thursday, July 14 at 9 p.m ET/PT.
