Announcing the Trainers of the Year

Congratulations to Cookie Miller and Amber Bowman

After searching far and wide, USANA and The Dr. Oz Show have found their Trainers of the Year. Let’s see what these inspiring individuals are all about, how they feel about winning, and what they’re planning for the future.

Cookie Miller was beyond thrilled to be chosen as one of the Trainers of the Year. “I’m still reliving it in my head. It’s just surreal,” she says. “I would constantly check the show and website to find tips and advice to stay fit and healthy, and now I’m going to be giving some of those tips. It’s just so crazy and awesome to think about that.”

Sharing the importance of living with a healthy weight is what drives Cookie in her endeavors. “Obesity can lead to life-threatening situations,” she says. “And I just want to spread awareness that losing weight not only makes you look better, but it can save lives.”

Cookie strives to connect with people all around the world through social media, and she believes this victory will help her reach even further. “There are so many different audiences and it’s impossible to reach them all on just one platform,” she says. “I use Instagram and YouTube because I want to be visible in as many places as possible. And I’m sure this opportunity will help me spread my message.”

For Amber Bowman, being selected as one of the Trainers of the Year was both an exciting and humbling experience. “As an athlete, there are many things I can control,” she says. “But in the end, it was up to the voters. And I’m so grateful and humbled that they chose me. I truly can’t thank the USANA family enough for supporting me and stepping up to vote for me.”

But Amber wasn’t there to just represent herself. “I’ve made it a point to represent firefighters and the emergency services because it’s one of the most stressful and needed jobs in the world,” she says. “And I was proud not only to represent them, but also to represent Canada and show what we can bring to the table.”

Amber is more excited than ever to move forward and continue pursuing her goals. “I dream big and I want to inspire and empower others to be the best versions of themselves,” she says. “I think this has brought the USANA family together and taken us further onto the world stage. And I’m excited to see where that takes us.”
