On peut la pratiquer toute l\u2019ann\u00e9e et le fait de prendre l\u2019habitude de montrer souvent notre gratitude peut r\u00e9ellement changer notre vie.<\/p>\n<p>Voici quelques bienfaits, merveilleux et inattendus, qui d\u00e9coulent d\u2019une pratique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re de la gratitude.<\/p>\n<h4>La gratitude peut effectivement renforcer l\u2019estime de soi<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/greatergood.berkeley.edu\/article\/item\/why_gratitude_is_good\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert Emmons<\/a>, le principal expert scientifique en recherche sur la gratitude \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle mondiale, a une vision int\u00e9ressante du sujet. J\u2019ai beaucoup aim\u00e9 ses propos \u00e0 ce sujet.<\/p>\n<p>Dans une de ses vid\u00e9os, Robert explique que le sentiment de reconnaissance peut effectivement renforcer notre amour-propre. Il croit que lorsqu\u2019on ressent de la gratitude envers les gens dans notre entourage (par exemple, nos parents, l\u2019enseignant en premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e qui nous a appris \u00e0 lire, notre meilleur ami qui conna\u00eet tous nos petits secrets et nous aime quand m\u00eame), on commence \u00e0 voir \u00e0 quel point ils nous ont aid\u00e9s \u00e0 nous rendre l\u00e0 o\u00f9 nous en sommes. La reconnaissance active des circuits neurologiques dans le cerveau qui, \u00e0 son tour, d\u00e9clenche une augmentation de la production de s\u00e9rotonine et de dopamine. Ces deux neurotransmetteurs, \u00e0 la source du sentiment de bonheur, se dirigent ensuite vers le centre du bien-\u00eatre du cerveau, cr\u00e9ant ainsi un sentiment de contentement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n<p>Le fait d\u2019\u00e9prouver r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement de la satisfaction permet de v\u00e9ritablement saisir l\u2019essence et la beaut\u00e9 de tous les instants.<\/p>\n<h4>Si la vie est comme une bo\u00eete de chocolats, la gratitude aide certainement<\/h4>\n<p>Forrest Gump compare la vie \u00e0 une bo\u00eete de chocolats; pour ma part, je la compare \u00e0 un jeu de soci\u00e9t\u00e9. En effet, il peut arriver que nous ayons l\u2019impression d\u2019avoir bien compris les r\u00e8gles et plac\u00e9 toutes les pi\u00e8ces comme il convient. Or, les d\u00e9s ne roulent pas toujours en notre faveur. C\u2019est comme si quelqu\u2019un saisissait soudainement la planche de jeu et l\u2019agitait dans les airs, \u00e9parpillant les pi\u00e8ces et les plans minutieusement mis en place.<\/p>\n<p>La gratitude peut \u00e9galement nous aider \u00e0 devenir plus r\u00e9silients. En psychologie et en neurologie, le terme r\u00e9silience r\u00e9f\u00e8re \u00e0 la capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration du cerveau et de l\u2019organisme \u00e0 la suite d\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement traumatique, comme la perte d\u2019un emploi ou le d\u00e9c\u00e8s d\u2019un \u00eatre cher. En effet, plusieurs \u00e9tudes montrent que les gens qui expriment davantage de gratitude r\u00e9cup\u00e8rent plus rapidement \u00e0 la suite d&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nements stressants ou traumatiques. On peut penser \u00e0 une ancienne m\u00e9taphore sur la r\u00e9silience\u00a0: les gens r\u00e9silients sont comme le roseau dans la temp\u00eate : il plie mais ne rompt pas.<\/p>\n<p>Plusieurs raisons font qu\u2019il en est ainsi, mais une d&rsquo;entre elles retient particuli\u00e8rement l\u2019attention\u00a0: le fait d\u2019exprimer de la gratitude r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement permet de prendre du recul sur notre impuissance face \u00e0 certains \u00e9v\u00e9nements. Pourtant, malgr\u00e9 son incroyable succ\u00e8s et sa vaste fortune, Oprah affirme que sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 montrer de la gratitude est sa plus grande r\u00e9ussite.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Il y a 16 ans, j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 tenir un journal de gratitude et je dois dire que cette d\u00e9cision a \u00e9t\u00e9 la plus importante de ma vie\u00a0\u00bb, raconte-t-elle dans un \u00e9pisode de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oprah.com\/oprahs-lifeclass\/oprah-on-the-importance-of-her-gratitude-journal-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oprah\u2019s LifeclassMC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque jour, Oprah \u00e9crit cinq choses pour lesquelles elle est reconnaissante. \u00ab\u00a0Il faut vraiment l\u2019\u00e9crire, les mots ont un r\u00e9el pouvoir\u00a0\u00bb, explique-t-elle. Selon elle, m\u00eame pour des choses aussi simples qu\u2019un bouquet de fleurs fra\u00eeches ou la porte que nous tient ouverte un \u00e9tranger, la gratitude est puissante.<\/p>\n<p>Oprah estime que la pratique quotidienne de la gratitude change compl\u00e8tement la perception que nous avons de notre journ\u00e9e. Cette habitude nous m\u00e8ne \u00e0 remarquer consciemment toutes les belles choses qui croisent notre chemin, et ce, d\u00e8s le lever. \u00ab\u00a0Vous vous sentirez plus vivant et plus r\u00e9ceptif \u00e0 tous les petits bonheurs de votre vie.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>En bout de ligne, la gratitude peut changer notre vie.<\/p>\n<p>Ce dont je suis certaine, c\u2019est que peu importe ce qui se passe dans votre vie, si vous \u00eates reconnaissant de ce que vous avez, vous finirez toujours par en avoir plus, m\u00eame si c\u2019est seulement deux dollars. Le s\u00e9choir a s\u00e9ch\u00e9 le tout tr\u00e8s rapidement.)<\/li>\n<li>Je suis reconnaissant pour ma boisson fouett\u00e9e matinale, m\u00eame si je l\u2019ai renvers\u00e9e sur mon chandail. C\u2019\u00e9tait un savoureux m\u00e9lange de fruits et l\u00e9gumes sant\u00e9. Je suis \u00e9galement reconnaissant de mon m\u00e9langeur Ninja avec lequel je l\u2019ai pr\u00e9par\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<li>Je suis reconnaissant pour la divertissante s\u00e9rie de livres audio que j\u2019\u00e9coute dans la voiture ces temps-ci.
