We are a few weeks into the new year — a perfect time to focus on personal development.
By now I hope you’ve written out your goals and posted them somewhere they can serve as a reminder of your “why(s).”
Or, perhaps a vision board is more your style. Maybe you have gone so far as to plan out the events you want to attend for motivation and training (SWEET Retreat? A cross-regional conference? International Convention?).
No matter how organized you have started off the year, finding ways to learn and inspire will help you keep focused on the steps you need to achieve to meet — or exceed — your goals.
Embarking down this path may also provide you with a new idea or a boost of positive energy when you need it.
Here are a few personal development ideas to help you thrive in 2013.
Ask Your Team/Join the Community
Your team and the people you surround yourself with on a regular basis are a valuable resource. They can share experiences and offer guidance. Make sure to attend team trainings and join your team’s Facebook page, if it has one (or think about setting one up if it doesn’t).
You should also follow USANA’s market-specific Facebook pages and, of course, What’s Up, USANA? for conference call information, support discussions, and inspirational stories. Check out USANA’s social media properties.
You might have completed eApprentice, USANA’s award-winning Associate development and online training tool, when you first joined USANA. Why not revisit certain sections again?
Sometimes, revisiting the basics of our industry after gaining some first-hand experience can give you a new perspective on important information and concepts.
Read a Book
Whether in paper or electronic form, books are always a good source of information and inspiration. Try to read titles that provide direct-sales information or personal development strategies.
I hope you have been downloading USANA’s monthly LifeMasters audio tracks (login required). USANA is one of the only companies (maybe the only one) to provide such a high-level and high-quality training and motivation to help you grow your business.
Now, LifeMasters is even better: it’s back on CD! Each month, you will receive an audio CD, the latest SUCCESS Magazine, and access to download the audio tracks.
Have you read a great book lately? Found a team site on Facebook that is a good support system for you? Please share your sources of inspiration in the comments.
Good luck making 2013 awesome!
