USANA Associates Shine Bright Like Diamonds for Charity
Cruising to the backdrop of the Vancouver skyline, a boat sporting USANA gear caught everyone’s attention as it sailed along English Bay this past Saturday.
What shone brighter and even more dazzling than the Vancouver sun were the generous and beautiful people on board. More than 170 USANA family members came dressed in white in support of the True Health Foundation on the White Diamond Charity Cruise. Special guests including, Chief Marketing Officer Dan Macuga and his wife, Amy, along with Elaine Pace, president of the True Health Foundation, flew in from Salt Lake City in support of the cruise, which raised more than $13,000 for the Foundation.
Belynda Lee, vice president of Canada and the North America Asian Market, set out to have a charity fundraiser that was different — exciting and of course fun for everyone — and that was exactly what she did!
Turning a dinner cruise line into the USANA Diamond Cruise and with a dress code of all white, the ship and the people on board lit up like the fireworks that displayed in the sky that evening. Yes, you heard right — fireworks! The firework show was part of an annual international firework competition in Vancouver known as the Celebration of Lights; it is Vancouver’s biggest event and also the largest offshore fireworks competition in the world and attracts up to 400,000 spectators along English Bay each evening.
Besides the firework show, guests on board also had the opportunity to network with a group of Diamond and Star Diamond Directors as they took in the breathtaking views of Vancouver at sunset. With the great food, amazing company and heaps of business tips exchanged on board, our guests left satisfied and looking forward to the next one.
“This is the most amazing event! I’m going to make sure my entire team is here next year!” said Eirika Nadeau-Jakobson, a USANA Builder.
6-Star Diamond Director Vincent Chan, can’t wait until next year. He wrote on Facebook ,“I liked the idea so much I went back to the same area at 6 a.m. this morning in a much smaller boat. I just can’t wait for the next cruise.”
With funds from the ticket sales and the generous donations from the British Columbia Diamond Directors, the White Diamond Charity Cruise raised $13,549 for the True Health Foundation! These funds will be put toward local charities to help Canadians in need.
Thank you to all who supported the event! We look forward to seeing more of you out at the second annual White Diamond Charity Cruise next year!
