Sugar-Free Pure Rest Still Gives You Sweet Dreams

Pure RestDid you get enough sleep last night?

I usually sleep a good 8 hours, but every once in a while I find myself unable to fall asleep at my usual time, so I end up sleeping less. I like to pretend the cause is a mystery, but really it’s almost always because I slept too late the previous morning.

I know that the best way to get enough sleep is to keep a consistent sleep schedule. This means going to bed at the same time every night, even on special occasions (like weekends).

And in case you haven’t heard, sleep is really, really important. Sleep deficiency can affect your reaction time when you’re driving your two-ton hunk of metal to work every morning. In the long term, it can also negatively impact your immune system and overall health.

You should be shooting for seven to eight hours of sleep each night. Yes, even in the summer when all anyone wants to do is go outside and have fun.

Pure Rest to the Rescue

So what happens when you find you can’t get to sleep one night? Apparently warm milk does the trick in some old movies, but I can’t think of anything grosser than that—especially right after I’ve brushed my teeth.

Pure RestThe answer couldn’t be easier. USANA’s Pure Rest™ will help support your sleep/wake cycles naturally. It contains 2 mg of melatonin in a dissolvable, orange-flavored tablet. The tablet is even scored so you can break it in half if 1 mg is enough for you.*

Melatonin is produced in your body naturally as you need it to help regulate your sleep cycle. But if your sleep cycle is out of whack for some reason, a quality melatonin supplement like Pure Rest may help you fall asleep easily, without any grogginess when you wake up.*

And guess what saved me on an extremely jet-lagged trip to Spain last year? Jet lag can totally ruin the first few days of a vacation, but fortunately I had some Pure Rest in my luggage to get my sleep cycle on track. My fellow travelers who went without it were…not so lucky.*

To use Pure Rest, just place a tablet (or half a tablet) under your tongue about an hour before bedtime.

Sugar Free is the Way to Be

Pure Rest

*This is just a picture of an adorable puppy sleeping. Please do NOT give your dog Pure Rest.

Now I have one more reason to love it: Pure Rest is now formulated without sugar.

Instead, Pure Rest is now lightly sweetened with xylitol. I know that sounds like a scary word but here are the facts:

  • Xylitol is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol found in many different fruits and vegetables.
  • It is commonly used as a sweetener in many different types of products.
  • It has fewer calories than sugar, and is less likely to cause dental cavities.

So next time you’re lying awake in bed, counting the number of hours before your alarm clock goes off, take some Pure Rest and call me in the morning.

    Dear Emily,
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Xylitol is not good for dogs.
So therefore a picture of a peaceful looking dog is inappropriate.
I think Usanimals contains Xylitol, which is why it is not recommended to give to dogs.
    Best regards
    Keith ..

Hi Keith. Thanks for your comment. We did not intend to imply that Pure Rest should be used for veterinary purposes. We used the picture just because it’s adorable! I’ll definitely amend the post with a comment to avoid any possible confusion. Have a great day!
