WTA’s Melanie Oudin: 3 Favorite Yoga Poses
I remember talking with Melanie Oudin last fall, shortly after she’d captured a US Open Mixed Doubles title. The enthusiasm and energy on the other end of the telephone was incredible.
You could tell the WTA professional and USANA Brand Ambassador is all about living life to the fullest, having a good time, and playing some world-class tennis.
In March, we had the opportunity to catch up with her in Indian Wells, Calif. We were thrilled to spend the afternoon with her and really get to know this rising star a bit better.
Melanie is always so great to help us out with our social media efforts. She understands the value of connecting with fans online, and she’s always open to recording videos for us to share with all of you.

I love the sun salutation! It creates power, and then rests in downward dog.
I love the bikram yoga…supra-vajrasana, fixed firm pose helps cure sciatica, gout and rheumatism in the legs. it’s slims thights firms calf muscles and strengthens the abdomen. It also strengthens and improves flexibility of lower spine knees and ankle joints….
I absolutely love restorative 1/2 moon to release the upper back, relax the diaphragm, stretch the ribs & open up the breath. 🙂

My favorite pose is Warrior 2… working on Warrior 3 balancing on one leg.

I like the warrior, the tree, and the child’s pose.
Downward dog s my favourite pose.
My favourite Yoga Pose is “Chandrasana Ardha” – the Half Moon Pose ~ a perfect stretch for both the arms & legs as well as balance.
My favourite yoga pose is “Bent Knee Lunge With Twist” since it assist digestion which allows me to absorb better of what I eat — USANA !!

As a yoga instructor, I love ALL poses, but I have to say that mostly all balancing poses are my favourite.
I’m starting Yoga again. It’s been awhile so this would be great to use and take with me! Thanks!
