Spartan Garden Growing

Spartan Garden at Corvallis High School has undergone some big changes in the past few weeks. Check out the progress in the images below.

The garden, which is a partnership between the Linus Pauling Institute and Corvallis High School, is maintained by high school students throughout the school year. In caring for the garden, students learn where their food comes from, how to grow their own food, the importance of eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, and fostering their appreciation and stewardship for the environment.

The garden is part of LPI’s Healthy Youth Program, which is supported by a grant from USANA via its United for Youth movement.

You can also see the step-by-step  transformation from empty lot to bountiful garden.
