The Dare to Dream Team Gives Back

A lot of people think about giving back during the holidays. Some people think about it all year round, like Annette and Victor Que, two successful USANA Associates. The couple decided to pull their team together this past year to raise money for the USANA True Health Foundation. This international charity provides human necessities, such as food, shelter, and medical assistance, to those who are most in need.

“We chose to donate to the foundation because it is the only charity that is sharing Dr. Wentz’ vision 100 percent,” Annette says. “Every cent helps the people or area in critical need — with no administrative charge.”

“We are very blessed, and we believe it is our obligation to share this blessing with others,” explain the 9-Star Diamond Directors. Their team, Dare to Dream, raised $15,000 for the foundation in a raffle that spanned three countries and two continents. To date, this is the largest donation from a single team to the foundation. “The responses from our team were overwhelming,” said Annette and Victor.

The couple knew they wanted to raise as much money as possible, but they didn’t immediately know how to do it. “We gathered all of our leaders and got them to come up with the idea to raise funds,” the Ques say. “We decided to sell raffle tickets.” They sold tickets to their teams across Canada, the United States, and the Philippines, and donated 100 percent of the raised funds to the foundation. Annette and Victor personally donated all of the raffle prizes.

Currently, Annette and Victor are in the process of raising more funds for the Typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines. This time, they are raising money by selling tickets to a Christmas party and donating 50 percent of the ticket sales to help the typhoon victims. Annette and Victor plan to personally cover the additional costs of the party, such as dinner, raffle prizes, and other promotions.

These efforts are extensive, but even small donations can make a difference. You can make a donation at any time at USANAfoundation.org. You can also send a friend or loved one a card informing them you’ve made a donation in their name — simply visit the shopping cart on USANA.com to get started making a difference in the lives of others.
