Mt. Everest 2012: Early Update from Kathmandu

Received the following from Susanne Cunningham, who is climbing to Mount Everest Base Camp. Get up to speed on her trek here.

Nepal is an exceptional place filled with culture. Ancient places still used today. Built to last and to be shared for generations. It reminds me of our business and how valuable it is to have a strong foundation and the desire to leave a legacy.

The boys and I are having a fabulous time. Just returned from the jungle, left my footprint next to a tiger print… I’m not sure if she was watching from the tall grasses… But she had been on that spot earlier in the morning (a mother and her cub).

Tiger print, right, compared to mine, left. Missed tiger by a couple of hours at Chitiwan Park

Tiger print, right, compared to Susanne's. "Missed tiger by a couple of hours at Chitiwan Park."

We just connected with some of our LASERFocus team and cross line. 2 more sleeps and we are off for THE adventure we have come for. First we will acclimate and see more of Kathmandu.

I expect there will be lessons to learn and challenges to overcome. One step at a time. I’m convinced the only way to accomplish anything… Is just that, one step at a time and to partner with people that can support your dream…
