Understanding Your Health at U-Wellness

USANA knows how to put on an event. We’re really good at it. And if you were at this year’s International Convention, you know I’m not kidding.

But our smaller events are just as awesome.

Canada’s USANA U-Wellness tour kicked off on Nov. 17 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and culminated with an enthusiastic crowd on Nov. 24 in Toronto, Ontario. Both events were incredibly well received by audiences totaling more than 500 at each location.

“So many people approached us after the Vancouver event and said it was one of the best events they’ve ever attended,” said Belynda Lee, USANA’s vice president of Canada and North American Asian markets.

What made it successful? The speakers focused on health. An all-star lineup spoke about science and USANA’s award-winning nutritional products:

  • Dr. Brian Dixon, USANA’s executive director of scientific and clinical affairs
  • Dr. Tim Wood, USANA’s former executive vice president of research and development
  • Emerald Director Sheila Dancho
  • Emerald Director Isabelle Wilson
  • 6-Star Diamond Director Adrian Chan
  • Diamond Director Jean-Pierre Gagné
  • Diamond Director Leanne Grechulk

“This was a very health-driven event where speakers like Isabelle Wilson shared their personal health stories, and their stories were edified by the credibility of the products,” Belynda said. “And then Dr. Dixon and Dr. Wood hit it out of the park.”

Dr. Wood’s presentation, with the assistance of the Harvard University video, The Inner Life of the Cell, was a big hit.

The goal of U-Wellness was to have each individual who attended believe in the quality of USANA’s products and walk away with the most up-to-date nutritional knowledge (here’s a first-hand account). But with this aim in mind, something unexpected happened.

For every one Associate who attended, they brought at least three guests with them. And while the intent was to inform the guests about the products, U-Wellness ended up encouraging them to check out the business, too.
