Express Your Selfie SignThe selfie craze that’s sweeping the planet is ready for its close-up at the 2014 USANA International Convention (#USANA14).

We want you to Express Your Selfie, which also happens to be the #USANA14 social media theme.

Creativity is important so it’s up to you to find the perfect spots to snap selfies en route to and during #USANA14 (we’ll help you once you arrive by highlighting Selfie Spots in and around the convention center and arena).

Above all we want the world to see how much you are enjoying this life-changing event. To sweeten the deal, the best, most creative, most awe-inspiring pics will be eligible to win a USANA logo gear prize pack complete with an iPad. You know, to aid in your quest to take even more selfies.

This is open to all #USANA14 attendees. Complete contest rules can be found here (Chinese | French | Spanish).

But here are the nuts and bolts:

  1. Snap a selfie — or 20 — from August 23-29
  2. Tag your pics #USANAselfie
  3. Share the pics on your Twitter and Instagram (make sure your accounts are public)
  4. Follow @USANAinc on Twitter and Instagram to see if you won!

A panel of esteemed judges will scour the online stack of selfie submissions the evening of August 29 and select its favorites based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity/originality
  • Photo quality
  • Adherence to contest rules and theme (Express Your Selfie at #USANA14)

Winners will be announced on USANA social media sites on August 30 and will be notified via e-mail following #USANA14. Two winners each will receive a prize pack valued at more than $500 US, while three more runners-up will receive a $100 US prize pack.

The contest wraps up at 11 a.m. MDT on August 29 but we encourage you to continue snapping selfies long after the #USANA14 confetti cannons fire. In fact, we will create a #USANAselfie album on Facebook where we will post our favorites for all to see.

That sounds awesome. But hold up. What is a selfie, exactly?

Great question. A selfie is a photo that you take of yourself. It can be solo or in a group—but one person in the pic (you) has to be holding the smartphone. Hint: Showing your face is a selfie requirement, but a unique background will give you an edge on your competition.

Got it? This will be fun.

So get snapping your selfies! Tag them #USANAselfie and don’t forget to follow @USANAinc on Twitter and Instagram to keep up with all the excitement during the 2014 USANA International Convention.
