Hi everyone!

Right now I’m in Spain, in the middle of some off-season training, but wanted to take a minute and thank you all for your support this past year. Without USANA’s support I don’t think my season would have been as memorable as it was.

The 2014 season was a very successful one, and at the same time a great learning experience for me. It was very positive as I won my first WTA tournament earlier this spring at a tournament in Strasbourg, France—which was one of my really big goals for the year—in addition to finishing the season on a high note by winning the inaugural WTA Rising Stars Invitational in Singapore! Being able to participate within the WTA Finals was an honor since my participation was completely in the hands of the fans that voted me in, and being able to then win the event was a really great feeling!

I made great improvements and learned how to use my strengths to my advantage, and set myself up for success. I’m hoping to take those memories and momentum as inspiration into next year to help me reach more of my goals in 2015.

The biggest challenge I still face is being a very consistent player, week-in and week-out, and it is something I strive to improve upon. I played some very close matches this year that could have gone either way, and those matches have made me even more hungry than I already was to become more consistent. My goal is to walk onto the court with confidence every match and perform without any hesitations.

This season also taught me that the game plan against every player is different, and that I need to adjust how I play against my opponents.

All things I look forward to improving this upcoming year!

Now that I have some downtime though, I am making sure I am spending this off-season catching up on my sleep, and spending time with my friends and family. Really enjoying finally being home after long months on the road!

However, I didn’t want to waste too much time and recently jumped right back into training! I am so excited to be back in the gym and on the court, working on new things to help me become the more consistent and confident player I want to be. My fitness is my number one goal right now and I have a very solid plan of action to get myself in tip-top shape to take on 2015.

I can’t wait to show you all my improvements in January! But in the meantime, you can keep up with me on Instagram and Twitter at @MonicaAce93!
