Usually with Fact or Fiction, I’m not that upfront about whether the proposed claim is actually fact or not. This time, it’s different. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It’s a fact — attending International Convention will most definitely help your USANA business.
If you think I’m crazy and that attending this event won’t have an impact on your potential growth, don’t take my word for it. Seriously. Why not listen to Ruby Director Tracy Wenkman who says, “Attending my first Convention is what inspired me to set goals, take action, and push my business to the level it’s at today. No one should miss out on this wonderful opportunity.”
Did I mention Tracy was the 2012 Rookie of the Year, Top PC Enroller, and Growth 25 member? So if you’re not going to take her word for it, I’m not sure whose you will. Actually, name one of your favorite Associates from the USANA family, and I can almost guarantee that they’ll tell you to get to Convention, no matter what it takes.
Are you wondering what makes this annual event so special? Well, I could go on and on, listing the reasons that Convention is an epic event that should be missed by no one, but instead, I’ll stick to the basics. There are three main reasons you need to book your trip to Salt Lake City this August.
The first and arguably most important aspect of Convention is the incredible list of speakers lined up for the action-packed general sessions and educational training stages. Coming from around the world, these industry experts have been hand picked to dish out key tips and advice to help you grow the most successful business possible.
Some of the training stages from the 2012 International Convention included “The Art of Prospecting,” “Getting Your New Associate Started Right,” and “Identifying and Duplicating Leaders.” And those are just a few out of almost 30 unique trainings that are designed to teach you the most effective business strategies.
Networking Like No Other
Now, I don’t want to make a huge generalization here, but I’ve learned from my interaction with Associates that most of them are good at making conversation with just about anyone.
Can you imagine taking thousands of these Associates and having them spend four days together? It’s an explosion of people communicating, connecting, and networking on both a professional and personal level like no other. The businessman or businesswoman in you will be entirely thankful, because it takes a huge effort not to meet plenty of new friends and colleagues.
Because many of you are in the same boat (serving as CEO of a USANA business), it’s easy to relate to one another. You have the same understanding of what it’s like working in the direct selling industry. And each Associate is at a different point in his or her business, so there’s always someone who has been where you are. Someone who has faced the same struggles and knows exactly what you need to hear. Convention gives you an opportunity to connect with these people and finally get answers to the questions you’ve long been asking.
A Fresh Perspective
The last thing I want to stress about attending Convention is the awesome feeling you have when everything wraps up. Even though I still consider myself somewhat of a “newbie” when it comes to Convention (this year will only be my second one), I know what an impact the event has on Associates. I know because even the employees from the home office have the same feeling. How could you not?
Four days of pure motivation, inspiration, and education creates the perfect combination needed to completely re-energize both you and your business. The obstacles that seemed too challenging and maybe even irritating before will feel like distant memories, and that slump you thought you were in becomes the fuel that will drive you to your next accomplishment.
Convention helps you. It helps your team. It helps everyone. The energy and excitement is infectious, and those in attendance leave with a common understanding of what the future holds: success.
