USANA Athletes: Get to Know USANA’s USSA Brand Ambassadors

We recently had the opportunity to sit down with USANA’s newest U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Brand Ambassadors at the Center of Excellence in Park City. We had a great time getting to know them better and want to share that experience with you, the people who support them throughout the year.

Grete Eliassen has always been an athlete. She remembers being 5 years old and seeing her brother with a soccer trophy. “Next year I want to be there, too,” she thought. She’s been competing ever since: “I’ve always been active. From soccer to skiing to hockey, I just love being outside and playing.”

Being Billy (@BillyDemong)
Getting outside is as big a part of Billy Demong’s day as anything. He loves pushing himself against the clock as much as against another person. Billy says people fall in love with Nordic skiing, not only as an alternative to Alpine skiing but as a great workout. “As the popularity of Nordic skiing increases in the United States it’s helped us to have more of a platform to show our results and helped fuel the media attention and has given more opportunities for more younger Nordic skiers in the country,” he says.

Nordic combined is different than any sport out there, says Bryan Fletcher. “Nordic skiing is a challenge in itself, especially competing in it. You put in a lot of hard work and you meet a lot of challenges along the way, so when you finally beat one of those challenges, you feel a sense of pride and self-gratification that is hard to find anywhere else.”

Tough Taylor (@TFletchernordic )
Taylor Fletcher absolutely loves Nordic skiing. It’s is one of the original sports and it’s always been there, he says. Taylor is extremely competitive and can’t imagine not being an athlete. Even his hobbies are sports — they relax him. And if he’s not skiing, you’ll find him “doing anything that brings peace to mind and allows me to live life.”
