USANA12: How You Can Help Those in Need

There’s an assumption that to be a hero, you must have a superpower. So, do you have a superpower? Sure you do…your power is to make the world a better place.

The USANA True Health Foundation challenges everyone big, small, short, and tall, to find the heroes hiding within themselves. YOU can help change the lives of millions of people across the globe and get them the necessities they need to survive.

“The USANA True Health Foundation defines basic human needs as; food, clothing, shelter, medical assistance, and health education, and 100 percent of every dollar you give is committed to helping others by providing those needs,” says Elaine Pace, president of the USANA True Health Foundation. “Not a penny of donated funds will be used for administrative costs.”

The vision encompassing every aspect around the nonprofit foundation is to help people in need, anywhere in the world, at any time.

3 Distinct Programs

The USANA True Health Foundation has three separate, yet equally important, programs to which anyone can donate their funds:

  1. Area of Greatest Need: Immediate Help. This program will allow for the immediate release of funds and aid for worldwide disasters. In the midst of catastrophic events, the basic needs of human beings (food, water, shelter, and medical assistance), but must be met promptly and with the utmost urgency.
  2. Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF): CHF has been helping children and families for all over the world for twenty years. USANA established a partnership with CHF in 2001 and since then, with the help of USANA and its associates, has donated more than $11 million in an effort to help diminish hunger across the world.
  3. Sanoviv Medical Assistance Program (accepting donations beginning August 2012): The state-of-the-art facility offers alternative holistic and integrative health programs to treat a wide range of diseases. The health care team is integrated with medical doctors, physicians, dentists, psychologists, chiropractors, nutritionists, fitness experts and spa therapists. Donations to this fund will go to people who can’t afford to experience the medical programs at Sanoviv but urgently need the care.

The possibilities that these three funds can bring to the world are, in one word, BEAUTIFUL.

Give at This Year’s USANA Convention

Giving to others has many rewards.

For attendees at USANA’s 20th International Convention, when you give, you also get.

The USANA Champions for Change 5K directly benefits the USANA True Health Foundation, and it’s a super-hero themed event. Don’t have a costume? Don’t fret. Go as crazy or as subtle as you’d like! And if you’d prefer to just show up and run, walk, or fly registrants will get a free commemorative T-shirt.

Stop by the USANA True Health Foundation booth where there will be a chance to purchase tickets for a drawing giveaway!

Exciting prizes will be given out daily — logo gear, gift bags, chair massages, a meal with the management team, a trip to Sanoviv for two plus airfare, and even a photo-shoot with a professional photographer for business cards.

Did I mention that participating in a 5K is also good for the mind, body and soul?

At the foundation booth, convention attendees will also have the rare opportunity to buy tickets for a photo opportunity with the prestigious Dr. Mehmet Oz. How many people can say they have personal photo with Dr. Oz?

Dr. Wentz and Dave Wentz bobbleheads will be available at the 2012 USANA International Convention. Also, keep an eye out for a "vintage" bobblehead that we can't show here!

5K Not Your Thing? Not to Worry…

Not up for a 5K? Purchasing a bobblehead also benefits the True Health Foundation. That’s right! USANA is bringing back Dave Wentz and Dr. Wentz bobblehead dolls! These limited edition dolls can be purchased from the Convention Store, but you’ll have to be quick — supplies are limited.

So don’t wait…get your Dave or Dr. Wentz bobblehead dolls fast!

And Finally…

Oh, did I mention that Dr. Oz will be the Master of Ceremonies at the USANA Champions for Change 5K AND he’ll be participating in the run?

Update 8/9/12: We just received word from Dr. Oz that Sony has informed him that he has more obligations in New York City than he had expected on Friday evening. As a result, he won’t be able to get to Salt Lake City in time for the 5K run while he is here for our Convention. He apologizes to everyone but wants us all to know that he is very excited to see everyone when he hits the main stage Saturday afternoon and would have loved to be a part of the race.

Get ready…

Get set…

Become your own champion for change and feel the reward of giving☺

Hello Clarissa and Happy Tuesday! Unfortunately the Dave and Dr. Wentz bobblehead dolls will only be sold in the store at convention. And the supply is limited. The dolls are $25 each, however you can buy the set for $40.
    Thank you,
