USANA World News: Foods Focus
This edition of USANA World News features major media recognition and some well-deserved awards for our delicious USANA foods products. Sure, here at corporate headquarters we know how great these products are, but it’s nice to receive confirmation of that greatness from a variety of sources around the globe.
Canadian Coverage
Our first stop is in Canada where the Toronto Star’s Michele Henry and Morgan Campbell visited the Canfit Pro expo to uncover the most delicious protein bar. The Toronto Star is Canada’s biggest newspaper and covers a variety of news and lifestyle topics. On this day, their writers sampled on-the-go energy supplements at Toronto’s largest annual fitness convention.
We don’t want to spoil it for you, but Michele’s winner on the day was (of course) The USANA Fudge Delite bar! Check out the article and the be sure to watch the video embedded below.
Australian Awards
Meanwhile, down under, the prestigious Australian Business Awards recognized USANA Australia in two categories.
First, USANA Australia’s Go Nuts ‘N’ Berries nutrition bar was recognized as an ABA100 Winner for Best New Product. Here’s what the ABA had to say:
“In 2014, USANA launched Go Nuts ‘N’ Berries Nutrition Bar, developed by a range of award winning research scientists with a variety of backgrounds to bridge the nutritional snack gap. It combines the antioxidant properties of cranberries and raisins and unsaturated nuts along with chia seeds and flaxseeds. With less sugar than an apple, the snack is also low salt and contains just 150 calories. Go Nuts ‘N’ Berries is dairy free, low GI and contains 500mg of omega 3 fats per bar, similar in quantity to that in a high quality fish oil. All ingredients are natural, gluten free and suitable for vegans.
The Australian Business Awards congratulate USANA Australia for its success in the category of Best New Product in 2014.”
USANA Australia was also recognized as an ABA100 winner for Product Innovation. This category was judged on the criteria of “product leadership through the practical application of innovative solutions for new and existing market needs offering a point of difference from their competitors.”
USANA’s Nutrimeal™ Free was awarded this honor for addressing the growing number of people concerned about dairy, soy or gluten intolerances which limit their dietary options. Click here for the full award description.
